En 2013, la Rapide devient Rapide S, faisant passer son V12 atmosphérique 6 litres de 477 à 560 ch, toujours aux seules roues arrière.

Cette année, la Rapide reçoit une nouvelle boîte auto à 8 rapports, la même que celle de la Vanquish

Ce V12 a une voix magnifique et la fait partager généreusement. Même sans turbo, il se montre très souple et commence à pousser généreusement vers 3000 tours, pour monter jusqu’à 7000 tours. Avec sa nouvelle boîte, la Rapide S a gagné une demi-seconde pour passer de 0 à 100 : c’est énorme, et cela dénote de réels progrès avec la nouvelle boîte, bien plus rapide tout en évitant les à-coups.

In 2013, the Rapide became the Rapide S, with its naturally aspirated 6-liter V12 seeing a power increase from 477 to 560 hp, still sent exclusively to the rear wheels.

This year, the Rapide receives a new 8-speed automatic gearbox — the same one used in the Vanquish.

This V12 has a stunning voice and shares it generously. Even without a turbo, it’s remarkably smooth and starts pulling strongly around 3,000 rpm, climbing all the way to 7,000 rpm. With the new gearbox, the Rapide S has shaved half a second off its 0 to 100 km/h time — a huge improvement that reflects real progress, with quicker shifts and smoother performance.
